Insight, Customer Scrutiny group would like to thank everyone who took part on this project.

The information you provided helped us to gain a better understanding of our customers experience around, what works well and what would better meet our customers needs. Your feedback, alongside other information we gathered internally enabled the group to review all the information and make recommendations for improvement.

As a group we developed an action plan and presented this to various Heads of service who have agreed to meet with us again in 6 months to review the recommendations. The action plan sets out what Great Places plan to do to improve communications such as;

  • communicate regularly with customers in different ways that suit a diverse audience
  • reinforce messages via neighbourhood and repairs team so every contact counts,
  • provide clear detail about what can be done when customers report repairs related to damp, mould or condensation,
  • follow-up when work has been carried out to ensure long-term resolution

Damp, mould and condensation can be a serious problem for homes and health, if left untreated. It can affect almost one in five homes in the UK, no matter the age of the property, therefore it is an important area of focus for all landlords.

Insight on behalf of Great Places would like to work with customers to check that information provided;

  • helps keep homes free from damp, mould and condensation, and
  • advises what can be done if damp, mould or condensation is spotted in the home

Insight are a customer group who have chosen to scrutinise this subject area to find out about customers' different information needs. We plan to use this understanding to check if information provided by Great Places about damp, mould and condensation is clear and accessible for all customers.

We are keen to hear your views to help with our review - if you'd like to feedback and support to influence information about damp, mould and condensation, then take a look at the quick polls and share your thoughts on this page.
