Exciting Improvements to Your Heating and Hot Water System at The Byrons
As part of Great Places’ commitment to continually improving your home, we are planning upgrades to the heating and hot water system in your building. These changes will help make your home more comfortable and ensure the system is easier to use and more efficient.
We will be completing these improvements in two phases.
Phase 1 – confirmed works
The first stage will focus on improving the current system. This will include:
moving the plant room to an external location.
reducing overheating in communal areas and in your home.
improving how the heating system can be controlled.
We are also looking to secure funding from the Government’s Heat Network Efficiency Scheme (HNES). If successful, this funding will help us install individual meters with in-home displays, so you can easily track how much heating and hot water you use and only pay for what you use.
We will update you once we know if the funding has been secured.
New billing provider
We have appointed a new metering and billing provider, Sycous. They will offer flexible payment options and send your monthly bill by email or post, depending on your preference. More information will follow closer to the time.
No action needed right now
You do not need to do anything at this stage. We’re committed to keeping you updated as these plans progress and will share more details as soon as they are available. Our aim is to make your home more comfortable, easier to manage and more efficient, and we appreciate your patience while we carry out this work.
If you have any questions or need any support, please don’t hesitate to contact the Heat Network Team at HeatNetwork@greatplaces.org.uk. We’re here to help.
Yours sincerely,
Heat Network Team
