Keeping the kids busy in the school holidays

Never hear the phrase 'I'm bored!' from your children again. With the end of term holidays fast approaching, share your favourite free or cheap activities to do with your little (and big) ones, here. Help other parents and carers with games and activities that work well with your kids or grandkids and maybe learn a few new ones for yourself! If you don't have children yourself or yours are a bit older, tell us about the games you used to play with them, or tell us the activities that you used to love when you were younger.

Don't forget, your local library, museum, art gallery or community centre or park might be planning free or cheap children's activities during the holidays. It's worth doing an internet search for 'free activities' in your postcode area or in areas you would be happy to travel to.
